A paper that was nominated to the Annual BCI Research Award 2011 is available here.
Publications on affective BCIs
- A novel oddball paradigm for affective BCI using emotional faces as stimuli (accepted)
Summary:
(1) ERPs responses to objects, faces, and emotional faces were analyzed.
(2) Three mental tasks, attention task, face identification task, and emotional face identification task were also investigated.
(3) Each paradigm showed significant difference between target and non-target ERPs.
(4) Significant difference among three mental tasks.
- Fast and Reliable P300-Based BCI with Facial Images (accepted)
Summary:
(1) Gray/white arrow flash, single emotional facial image, and several different emotional facial image were examined.
(2) Affective face driven paradigm (AFDP) achieved high performance in online experiment.
(3) Offline analysis implied that high performance might be achieved using 2 electrodes.
